I've spent many morning, noon, and late nights testing 7 different establishments in the area over the past few months to find the best bloody mary. It's been a wild ride but I think I can confidently say I've found some great drinks and stories along the way as well.

My mission was to find not only a tasty drink but also a memorable experience. Most of all, I had fun! So if you're looking for a good Bloody Mary in North County San Diego, then keep reading to hear which establishment won top spot on my list!

The Roxy Encinitas has a unique, homemade bloody mary recipe that is the talk of San Diego. The mix consists of Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce, freshly-squeezed lemon juice and tomato juice, secret spices, and premium vodka. All these ingredients combine to create a masterpiece that even the most experienced bloody mary enthusiast would be proud to drink.

Their bloody mary is thick, spicy, and savory. It contains a variety of vegetables like celery, pickled okra, and olives. The spiciness is just right - not too hot for novices but flavorful enough to keep experienced drinkers coming back for more.

I'm also impressed with their garnishes. The bacon wrapped jalapeño gives the perfect kick without being too overwhelming and the chunks of applewood smoked bacon add an extra special touch that makes this an unforgettable experience.

To top it off, the staff at Union Kitchen and Tap are friendly and knowledgeable about craft cocktails. All in all it's a great place for anyone looking for an amazing bloody mary and great service in North County San Diego.

The garnish is on point! The combination of the pickled vegetables, celery stalk and lemon wedge on top of the spicy mix is a flavor combination that can't be beat.

The bloody mary mix itself is just right - not too thin or thick, with a nice balance of spices and tomato juice. It's not overpowering but still has enough kick to let you know it's there.

When all these wonderful ingredients are combined together in a glass that has been rimmed by a seasoned salt and pepper mixture, you get what I believe to be one of the best bloody marys in North County San Diego! Not only is the bloody mary flavorful and well-mixed, but the presentation is top notch. The bartenders make sure to add a little something extra to make your experience even more enjoyable. The garnish is always so fresh and vibrant, they give their bloody mary's the pizzazz that makes it stand out!

One thing I particularly enjoy about Pillbox Tavern is that they always use high quality ingredients and are willing to switch things up depending on what you'd like in your drink. From olives to bacon, they can provide whatever you need. Even more impressive, is that they don't skimp on giving you enough of whatever it is you choose!

I absolutely love their bold and spicy recipes. The horseradish kick is strong enough to make me come back for more, but not overwhelming. They also don't skimp on the mixology - the perfect balance of flavors ensures that every sip is delicious.

The garnishes are my favorite part; they always have something unique and unexpected. Whether it's a salty pickled asparagus or a creamy shrimp, there's never a dull moment here! I've been to plenty of places for a bloody mary, but the one at Miss Kim's stands out far above the rest. Their Bloody Mary is made with a unique blend of spices and flavors that result in a perfect balance of spicy and savory. It's definitely one of the tastiest I've had!

The atmosphere at Miss Kim's is also top-notch. It's cozy, inviting, and friendly. The staff is always ready to help with any questions or requests you have, making sure you have the best experience possible.
